Room was clean but incredibly noisy due to bar below.

We had a lovely stay with our kids! The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach. The pub had a friendly atmosphere, and we enjoyed the seasonal water sports nearby. Breakfast was hearty, just like mentioned in a previous review.
My children wished for quieter mornings, as nearby deliveries started too early. A soundproofed room or better window seals would be a huge plus for families.

Had an amazing getaway with friends! We enjoyed seasonal water sports at the beach and had a great time at the cozy pub. The staff were friendly, and we found parking easy. Definitely try the Cornish Rump steak. it's fantastic!
One downside was the quality of the southern fried chicken burger we tried. it was pretty disappointing and had seen better days.

Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway
First night was great, had a fantastic steak pie and chips for dinner, just like mom used to make, and the atmosphere at the bar was lively. The staff were genuine, offering a packed lunch when I couldn't join for breakfast, really appreciated that especially early in the morning.
It wasn't exactly cheap, but honestly still worth it.

Encountered a peculiar odor in the bathroom that could be bothersome for longer stays.

I stayed at the Brendon Arms for a night and overall had a great time. The staff were incredibly friendly, making me feel right at home. The breakfast was delicious, and the bed in my room was super cozy. I appreciated their understanding when I was a bit late for checkout—very accommodating. The cleaning staff were thorough, and it was nice to see them taking such care with their work. On the downside, the room I had was quite small. The thin curtains let in a lot of light early, making it hard to sleep in. The air conditioning system was noisy, which could disturb sensitive sleepers like me. I also noticed the dining area lacked flair. our dinner experience felt a bit off, and some meals were not cooked well. I would love to see more attention to the dining experience and perhaps a few more space-friendly room options for future stays.

would absolutely stay here again
The family room was spacious with an electric kettle, flat-screen TV, and comfy beds. The private bathroom had both a bath and a shower. Free toiletries. The food was pub classics, and breakfast included a good selection of cereals and plated options. There’s convenient on-site parking and friendly staff service throughout.

comfortable stay with welcoming staff
I appreciated how accommodating the staff was during my visit. The comfy bed allowed me to sleep deeply which was important as a night worker.
The overall ambiance felt a bit dated for my taste.
